Sad day

Well yesterday was kind of a sad day. But the kids were so cute they threw us a surprise going away party. We decorated cookies and they made big posters for us that I hung in my bedroom so everytime I pass it I think of those sweet kids. They each wrote us a letter too which was so fun to sit and read about what they had learned in our lessons. What cute and fun kids, I can't wait to get my own classroom. Well now back to the books I look forward to seeing you all on Monday.

Only 2 days left

Wow I can't believe our field is almost over. I have had such a fabulous time. The kids have been great and so has our cooperating teacher. I am sure going to miss these kids, I can't believe how fast I have gotten attached to them. There have been many who have asked me to come back and visit them. We get to go on a field trip tomorrow. This experience has really been filled with a lot of real life teaching experiences for which I am greatful. I look forward to seeing all of you again but not really excited about the mass amount of homework that is now going to be do. Oh well I guess onward and upward. See you all next week.

Half way through

Wow I can't believe we are half way through our field experience, it has been great. I really think the way we have been able to remember their names is our teacher gave us a seating chart with their names on it, so we just started memorizing who was where and then we have been able to put names with faces as the days have went on. We did our cause and effect lesson today and I was really worried about it because it seemed a bit tougher in Welte's class. But the kids really got it and they really seemed to be right there with us, it was a great feeling. It actually went better than yesterday which had a few bumps in it. Any way it is great hearing from our class and to hear how everything is going. Keep up the great work everyone.

Wow I did it

Hey I got my digital story up on my blog and I did it by myself I was so excited that I am remembering how to do things on my blog. Maybe all of this stuff is really sticking in my brain. I hope you all have a great week.

Field Experience

Wow I can't believe how fast the first week of field went. Halloween was so fun with all of the students. I was dressed up as Professor Trelawney from Harry Potter and the kids loved it. Kristy was all jazzed out as a punk rocker with piercings and tatoos all over her body. The kids loved it. We are now getting ready to do our teaching and the kids are great. We have pretty much got all of their names down we have 34 in our class, plus another 32 in the other class that rotates in. It is great and the faculty as Mt. Mahogony has been great.
